Shelter Cove is one of the prettiest marinas we have stayed at thus far. We were there two nights. Great communication upon arrival and had two dockhands to help. Docking went smooth on Dock i. Had great weather during our stay and enjoyed walking through all the shops right at the marina and all the way to TJ Maxx area. We ate at Dawg Tavern twice because they were dog friendly. Our slip came with courtesy bikes and we rode to the beach along tree lined bike paths. Simply beautiful. I wish we had stayed longer. Did not need fuel or pump out so no review on that. Only reason for four stars is that the showers, bathrooms, and laundry were too far to use from our dock. Otherwise, a great stay and would stay here again.

Shelter Cove and their friendly staff continues to be a great place to spend a couple of nights or a couple of months. Here again for the winter months, the facility is a perfect way to enjoy Hilton Head and surroundings. This year we brought our adult children down for the holidays and rented a condo at the marina for them. Such a great way to get the family together. Access to pickleball and tennis at Palmetto Dunes helps to keep us in shape too!

Excellent marina in the middle of everything. Bikes provided to get you to other areas of the island and the Fresh Market my favorite grocery store. Good restaurants within the complex. Showers and dress areas well maintained with 3 in the women's area. The Dockmaster, Preston met us on arrival and helped get us into the slip. Mason the marina manager runs a very good outfit and wants to be quick to resolve any issues. Would highly recommend.

Approach Broad Creek from Calibogue Sound by leaving Broad Creek's "Channel marker 1" to port, east/south-east of ICW "32". Proceed up Broad Creek, following the well-marked deep-water channel (12 feet at mean low water) to "18" and "19". Go between the markers and proceed up the channel to "22" and "23", which is located at the beginning of the marina. We monitor VHF channel 16. The Shelter Cove Marina Ship's Store is a go-to island shop for summer essentials and more. Anglers can find everything they need to get out on the water, including tackle, gear and live bait to help land the perfect catch in Hilton Head Island. It's also the primary location for booking fishing charters. Inside, you'll find a selection of snacks and refreshments along with sun shirts and sunscreen to keep you comfortable outdoors. The Ship's Store is also a great place to pick up souvenirs, gifts and apparel, with everything from hats and visors to performance shirts, Rayban sunglasses, Olukai shoes and flip-flops--everything you need from head to toe.

Events

HarbourFest, a summer-long event, features evening entertainment from Island favorites, Shannon Tanner and Cappy the Clown. Select Tuesday night fireworks are a magical part of HarbourFest & will delight audiences of all ages as they light up the harbour.

During the spring & fall, dance the night away on select Thursday nights from 6 - 9 pm at Music & Taste on the Harbour! This event features live local bands and a taste of Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina restaurants around the Neptune Statue.

Other events occur throughout the year including the annual Hilton Head Island Art Festival (Memorial Day Weekend), Santa at the Harbour (Black Friday), and more!
