A well-known submerged rock hazard exists in the Cape Coral Channel in Cape Coral, FL, near position N 26? 34.637' / W 081? 55.862'.
Mariners are cautioned that while this hazard was previously marked with a warning sign, the marker is often reported as missing or damaged. To safely avoid the rock, vessels should favor the north side of the channel when transiting this section.
This area is particularly sensitive to tide levels; during extreme low tides, the rock may be only inches below the surface or even slightly exposed.
