TX: Galveston Bay - Galveston Channel, Texas A&M University, Marine Construction

Marine construction and dredging will take place at Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMU-G) Dock No. 1, in Galveston Harbor, along the Galveston Channel, from February 26, 2026, through April 30, 2027.
Work will be conducted 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, unless otherwise directed. Operations will include dredging, rehabilitation of approximately 300 feet of the main bulkhead, approximately 400 feet of return wall, and construction of approximately 350 feet of a new concrete pier deck.
On-scene vessels will include crane barges, material barges, towing vessels, and support craft. Dive operations may occur intermittently throughout the project.
Mariners are urged to maintain a safe distance, transit the area at their slowest safe speed, observe all required day shapes and dive flags, and monitor bridge-to-bridge communications. VHF-FM Channels 13 and 16 will be monitored.
