- Description:
Dredging and pipeline removal operations are being conducted in the Houston Ship Channel, approximately 1 mile inbound from the Beltway 8 Bridge. Work is scheduled 12-hours a day, 7-days a week, and began on January 27, 2026, continuing until further notice. Operations involve the Dredge MBI-08, the Hydraulic Unloader MBI-11, crane barges, and the T/Vs COLONEL and GRAND ANN.
Portions of the channel will be obstructed during dive operations to remove pipe sections. Mariners are urged to transit the area at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and must make passing arrangements via VHF-FM channel 76 or 78.
