Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure your needs are taken care of. Water is pretty thin at the entrance to the marina, especially at low tide. The biggest issue with the marina is that it doesn't appear to have had any real investment in a very long time. It's maintained reasonably well, but is showing its age. Well stocked ships store. Restrooms clean but dated. They give you a key to the restroom on a giant plank, like 12x8. Like the old gas station bathroom keys. Why not install a restroom security system like others do? Overall a good marina though, we would return.

Previous comments are true- it's a little narrow (aka Roland Martin) with a stiff current (aka St Augustine) but the staff does a fantastic job mitigating those issues. Restrooms are dated but in good order and clean. If you're there on a Sunday make sure to visit Sunday's cafe, its only open on Sundays and well worth it. The afternoon briefing on Delaware Bay travel is invaluable.

Overall a positive experience which began with such welcoming service and attentiveness from dockhand Sidney. She helped us get a pumpout and get docked- fantastic job. The fairways are tight for anything north of 40'. No laundry. The restrooms / showers were clean but dated. It's a great town- don't miss the Graw Alley art exhibit as it is spectacular and a short walk from the marina.

Stayed here in their mooring field. Super easy in / out. Protected area with minimal traffic. While we were there some maintenance was done on surrounding balls, which is a good sign they actually take care of their mooring field. Nice dingy dock. While we were away, someone (I assume the dockmaster) secured the stern of our dingy when the wind shifted so it wouldn't swing into the dock. Really nice of them to notice and make that adjustment. Would definitely return.

Agree with most of what has been said in previous reviews.

Knowledgeable staff and professional. Restroom / Shower facilities are good, but small and a good distance. The men's restroom door was very sticky and difficult to open at times. Was told the tidal change was minimal, and while by some standards it is minimal it was enough to make it a challenge for some to get off the boat at low tide on fixed docks. Fixed docks are in good condition, but lighting is poor. Fairways are somewhat tight.

Super convenient to all the local attractions. Based on the parking situation, having Instcart can be a challenge because there is no place for them to park except pull over on the busy street.

Combo of fixed and floating docks. I'd recommend requesting a floating dock inside the marina as opposed to the outer fixed docks which are more prone to wake and fetch. Great pool area. Super pretty rural setting. West Marine close by. Loaner car available and easy to use. As others have reported, seems as if they usually have 1 person on staff at any point (all very capable) but if that 1 person is attending to something else it can be an issue.

It's an easy trip to Tangier Island for an interesting day trip. Ferries are available for that. The marina is fantastic, but unfortunately Crisfield itself is a little tired.

A 5 star rating is warranted because the staff at Waterside is amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, always asking if you need anything, always looking to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. If I owned a marina, I'd want these folks working for me. As stated previously, a fair price given the stellar location. Docks and facilities are in good shape. Marina provides shuttle to an area grocery store.
Would highly recommend one of the "tourist" boat tours because you'll learn a ton about the area. At least two are available right at the marina. The marina has no fuel, no laundry and the small restrooms are a small walk.

Free dock just South of the bridge in town. Local boating enthusiasts work to greet boaters upon entry and help them tie up. Yes, short finger piers but they are new and rock solid. Beam widths are in varying sizes and noted at the head of each slip. Restrooms and showers reasonable. Showers $5. Albemarle museum across the street is a must see. Also, there's a superb butcher shop ~1/2 mile away called "My corner Butcher". Several restaurants and pubs in the vicinity. We would definitely return.

Good location for a stopover. In other reviews I've read about boats running aground at the entrance, and I witnessed that happen to a sail boat. If they can't accommodate larger draft boats they shouldn't invite them in. When I made the reservation they asked my beam, and I gave it as 14'. As I'm entering the marina the dock attendant asks for my beam and that I standy because he was managing another boat, which I did. It became apparent when I called back that he had forgotten I was still waiting. He instructed me to bow into a slip he was standing at. I could see it had short fingers, so I asked "bow in", and he said yes. As I'm approaching a fellow boater points out to him that my beam won't fit in that slip- so he asks my "is your beam 14'?" I say yes and he asks that I "park behind the big boat", to which I then have to clarify what he means. Overall communication was poor.

As others have stated, staff is excellent and the marina is in a good location. Very nice shower facilities and they provide towels. They earnestly want to provide the best service on the ICW. Free use of golf cart, and they provide lawn games which we enjoyed. The items that prevent them from receiving 5 stars is 1) no pumpout- pumpout is at a city dock next door which sometimes has boats docked overnight, and 2) the fixed docks beyond the wall are somewhat narrow which can be a bit harrowing at night.

Nice anchorage for a stopover, but wouldn't want to stay for more than a night, possibly 2 in case of inclement weather. On our date, sonar indicated when entering hug the red for better depths. Once inside the bay the best depths are away from the shore that is at 2:00 to the channel entrance. Large anchorage that can hold several boats. Reasonable protection from winds and wake. There are things I loved about this marina, and some not so much.

The positive- their courtesy shuttle is super useful and they organize it very well. Their staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Their restrooms and shower facilities are very nice. Washer facility was good and in good order. Great location right downtown.

The negatives: We were on the outside of the mega dock during high wind weather. I can't describe how rolly it was and amazed we didn't end up with damage. Who'd think you have to take motion sickness medicine in a marina. Staff did check on things to see if they could help. The distance from the mega dock to the restrooms is a very long ways. I don't mind the exercise, but it takes forever to get there. No fuel at the time. Although they give you security codes, nothing is secure. If you're going to be there for any length of time I'd recommend at least being on the inside of the mega dock.

My negative review is based on the idea that Safe Harbor, having the resources they do, should do a much better job. We stayed here in a mooring ball for 1 night. The marina has no system for mooring reservations, it's on a first come first serve basis so as you're coming in it's a guess if you have a mooring or not. The mooring balls themselves are not maintained. We attempted to secure a mooring ball on 3 separate occasions before we finally found one that could be used on the 4th try. Balls are missing pennants, pennants are broken, some are zip tied so you can't secure it. We witnessed another boat have the exact same issues of hunting for a functional ball. The staff was apologetic and wanted to be helpful. At the very least, if you're not going to maintain the mooring field clearly label which balls aren't functioning to prevent boaters from roaming around the field looking for a functioning one.

Room for 6-7 boats depending on length. There are public restroom in the adjacent park. During our stay the men's was reasonable but the womans was not useable. There is also a free pump-out just around the corner that you can easily see on the app "Pumpout Nav". I know some have stayed overnight at that pump out dock, but I don't think that's the intent. My only criticism is it is first come first serve, and based on your boat size they will direct you to certain ball numbers. It makes for a bit of a guessing game where to go and what the numbering sequence is. Seems like a large sophisticated marina like this could establish a reservation system for mooring balls as others do. But overall a good experience.

I gave this rating because it's inexpensive and provides good basic docking with power and water. There is only 1 50 amp. The docking situation is probably most people's concern, but if you're aware and plan for it, it works. Those "slips" with power have no finger pier, so you have to exit the boat via bow or stern, whichever works. We were able to exit via the bow on our Mainsjip 400. On the piers there are no hooks, so you have to get creative on securing the vessel. Port Potty's are available at the library across the street ( clean when I was there). No showers. All said, for the price it's pretty good.

We kept our vessel here for more than a year. Facilities are top notch, staff is very helpful. Compass Hotel adjacent to Marina is a plus as well.

Solid Mooring area just adjacent to Marina Jack. Can get waked occasionally from Marina or ICW traffic. Easy dingy access. Some restaurants allow pets. Amazing views at night of city and bridge. Large mooring field. Good responsive service.

Fantastic location. Multiple venues within walking or short Uber ride. No fuel, showers or dump station. Last time here we pointed out that the gate wasn't being closed at night (in fact it wouldn't shut). They've since corrected that and it is secure at night. I normally wouldn't give a marina a "5" with minimal services, but due to location and the fact they corrected the security issue deserves that rating.

Dockhand Kathy was excellent and super helpful. Spectacular location with multiple venues in walking distance. Fixed cement docks in reasonable repair. Bath house aging but clean and functional. Never did find the trash receptacle. Great view of downtown and awesome sunrises. Super easy in and out.

As others have noted, power and water only. No fuel, pump out or showers. Given that, the rates are reasonable. Fantastic location. Right downtown with good access to lots of restaurants and things. Even more a short Uber away. Dock hands were very friendly and helpful. My only reason for 4 stars is that the gate that secures the dock at night was chained open and unable to be closed. The convention center manages that gate. Overall a very nice marina in a great location.

A gem of a marina. Small, well maintained with good facilities. Right in the heart of the sponge docks. Entrance is up the river, but it adds to the charm. Mick the dockmaster clearly cares about boaters and the marina. We'll be back!
