Came in from southbound on the ICW. Do not cut the corner but cut in almost perpendicular to channel. Anchor on the mark. If you go in at all to get away from the channel, you will be resting on the bottom @low tide. We reset our anchor @ high tide partly in the channel and backed in. No real current and only a few fishing boats passed us (some wake). Mostly flat area so wind protection is limited. Quick access for bridge opening.

Late in the season so very few crab pots. Anchored just off of daybeacon 3 (green) in 7' and had very good holding with wind gusting to 27. Flat area all around so limited wind protection. Tugs went by at night but no wake issues.

Time arrival for slack/near slack period. Current runs perpendicular to docks and will push you! Entry corners of all the floating docks need to have rub strips installed; likely torn off from too many boats being pushed hard into the corner trying to enter the slip. Dockmaster Craig was great & very helpful, reaching out to contact us when we made the Dockwa reservation and when we docked. Showers were clean but the men's restroom needs better ventilation.... Convenient to numerous restaurants and 1.3 mi to Walgreens. Docks are open to the public; local area around the docks is commerical & residential (new condos going up next door) so felt safe.

Great stop for north or south bound. Depending on wind (scope needed) room for many boats. USMC Camp Lejeune nearby can provide some rotor noise from their Ospreys but we've been here 3x and there has not been any night ops. Limited protection from winds with a southerly component but very good holding (we had 15+ south wind); thoroughly wash down your anchor swivel connector -- very sticky mud.

Best value for price around! Fixed docks weathered but sturdy & safe. Owner & staff great & accommodating; low fuel price; great location right down town Belhaven; clean bathroom showers w/towels, soap & shampoo provided; laundry free with soap & dryer sheets provided; golf cart to get essentials (Food Lion); hardware store, restaurants, brewery/distillery all easy walking distance (0.1 - 0.5 mi). The only possible improvement would be if the marina had 10% off meal bill discount coupons for restaurants.

Anchored about a mile south of WW anchor mark for Buck Island South, down just north of Lutz River. Very good holding in steady 20+ North winds. Tucked in close to land, 6' depth, but flat land provides little wind protection from north component winds. Winds & cool weather (low 50s overnight) kept midges to a minimum. Beautiful sunsets & sunrises.

Dockside assistance on hand to help us tie up to their wall. Combined shower/restrooms were close by & clean, as was the laundry room. Attentiveness of dock staff was evident on our departure day as we departed the dock, we got a low oil light/alarm and returned to the dock. They stopped their staff meeting to come out to see if everything was ok and if we needed assistance. Everything is close by in the town and there's a restaurant just off the end of the dock (Boathouse Eatery).
