The reviews for Highbourne Cay Marina highlight a mix of experiences, with many praising the marina's exceptional facilities, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff. Reviewers noted the marina's cleanliness, well-maintained amenities, and the upscale yet relaxed atmosphere, making it a standout destination in the Exumas. The restaurant received high marks for its food and service, although some found it a bit pricey.

However, there were also criticisms, particularly regarding the high costs associated with staying at the marina, which some felt were excessive. A few reviewers experienced issues with the reservation process, citing delays and miscommunication, which led to frustration, especially during storm preparations. Additionally, there were complaints about fuel availability and pricing transparency.

We just wrapped up an unforgettable sailing trip through the Exumas, and our stay at Highbourne Cay Marina was a true highlight. Thank you to all the staff that helps make this an exceptional place.

From the moment we approached the marina, the experience felt first-class. The facilities are exceptional. The marina is immaculately maintained, with clean docks, reliable power and water, and well-kept amenities throughout. The grounds are stunning, beautifully landscaped, quiet, and exactly what you hope for when arriving in the Exumas.

What really sets Highbourne apart is the overall atmosphere. It strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. You feel like you're somewhere special, but never uncomfortable or out of place. I can tell you, we miss this place already. We'll be returning for years to come.

To add, the restaurant was excellent. Great food, solid service, and an ideal setting after a long day on the water. In fact, I think it was the best restaurant of the entire trip. Whether you're stopping in for a night or planning a longer stay, it's a perfect place to recharge. Location-wise, this place is hard to beat. Highbourne is an ideal jumping-off point into the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park and beyond, making it a strategic and enjoyable stop on any itinerary.

We've sailed in a lot of places, and Highbourne Cay Marina stands out as one of the best-run and most enjoyable marinas we've experienced.

Highly recommend. We'll absolutely be back.

Very nice marina but almost empty. (My guess it's because of the price). Staff has been great. The grocery store was well stocked, shower was nice, dockside water and garbage. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't the most expensive marina in the Bahamas

Terrible reservation process. I requested a reservation to ride out a storm several days ago. The staff kept delaying answers and asking me to call while I was offshore. I kept responding I can't call as no coverage offshore. They kept stringing me along saying they were working on my reservation. In the end, they said they couldn't accommodate me. If I had known this in the beginning, I could've gone elsewhere. Now I am scrambling to find a safe anchorage. This is soooo not cool. Also, their online reservation form does not work properly! Don't go there.

Called ahead and asked for diesel fuel, they told us we could have 500 gallons and when we arrived they changed their mind and only let us have 200. Fortunately, Norma's Cay was able to help us. No problem if there are limits, we'd just like to know & be able to depend on what we are told.

We stayed here for 8 days and enjoyed everything. They have a restaurant that was priced a little high for us but we did visit the beach bar. The bar tenders were great and always friendly. You can order some small dishes from the beach bar/ limited menu. The marina has free bikes to use that are in very good shape and lots of place to bike around the island. They also have golf carts for rent. The dock hands and staff were mostly all very friendly. There is a grocery store that stayed pretty well stocked while were there. Nothing is priced so you have to ask or just buy. They do have charcoal grills available to use and charcoal for sale in the store. We stayed for 8 nights. There is no special deal for staying a week and they could not tell us the price per night until we arrived. It ended up being about $3.50 per foot. There is a per day charge for electric. For 50 amp it is $69 per day after VAT. There is also a charge per gallon for water. This marina has very nice showers and restrooms... but be careful no locks on the doors. There are some strings rigged to try to keep people from coming in on you. The restrooms are cleaned early each day. This marina does sell fuel. Be sure to check out the crows nest. It is the gym for the island and there are beautiful views from there...relaxing spot. There are also restrooms at the crows nest. We loved every spot on this island so be sure to get out and explore.

Beautiful marina and property. We only stopped for fuel and to drop trash. The dockhand was very pleasant and helpful. The fuel dock is to Starboard as you enter the marina. Easy approach, but please watch for the sharks as you enter. The marina store is well stocked and includes a small grocery with fresh produce. Expensive but everything was clean, fresh and beautiful. We will put this marina on our list as a place to stay and treat ourselves on a return visit.

There is a good anchorage at the Highbourne westside, but for an approaching blow we took a slip in the marina ... and stayed for 8 days. It is a well run and clean marina with very friendly staff, good facilities and a shop with quality and fresh products for provisioning. Laundry service is offered overnight. Nice to explore the island and different beaches riding the free bikes.
It is a pricey place, but you get what you pay for. We would love to return.

A wonderful place to stay in the Exumas. The marina is in great shape and well maintained, power is excellant, they even recycle! Free bikes, canoes, paddle boards and the restaurant is as good as any top restaurant in Florida (if not better). Pricey but certainly a great way to spoil yourself.

Great spearfishing off the front of the island. The chef on the island was happy to cook it up and comp our meal as we provided plenty of fish for the next two days. They had free bikes you could use to ride the island.
