Bridge comment on West 79th Street Bridge

The bridge operator was just in the wrong here. We hailed operator numerous times, finally copied after both of us on vessel hailed. Our buddy boat behind us there and hailed numerous times as well along with other boats. All boats sat waited until opening of course probably 8-10 minutes. Upon opening we all came through no problem until our buddy, last boat he closed bridge down with him almost completely under the bridge stating he hadn't called bridge. I know I heard him just after I finally got my copy.
